Want to grow great garlic and ward off winter colds with Fire Cider? Join us on Sunday, August 12th at 9am for our Garlic Clinic. Garlic boosts the immune system, is antiseptic, antibacterial, helps maintain cholesterol levels, lowers blood sugar….the list goes on and on. On top of all that, it’s darn delicious and easy to grow.
Join “farmden”er Nicole Orens-Williams and north fork herbalist April Alexander as they delve into garlic, perhaps the single most important herb in the apothecary garden. Workshop will cover growing, cultivating, harvesting, and preserving the culinary and medicinal properties of garlic. Participants will make and take with them “Fire Cider”, as well as certified organic garlic bulbs to plant or eat.
Workshop is beginner friendly, includes materials, and will last 1-2 hours. Registration preferred (last-minute attendees are welcome if spaces are available and class has at least two signed up 24 hours in advance).
