Cutchogue herbalist Heather Cusack of Heather’s Herbals will be leading us as we make herbal power balls. Resembling small truffles and great for spouses and children, these palatable bites are powdered herbs mixed with nut butters, seeds, dried fruit and sweeteners, and eaten as needed. Ingredients, sweetness, and consistency can be easily fine-tuned to your needs. Participants will be making and taking a few different formulas—possible recipes include a nutritive recipe featuring the adaptogen ashwagandha root, a sore throat remedy featuring soothing marshmallow root, and a stomach calming remedy featuring ginger root.
