Online Seedling Ordering Now Open for 2020 Spring Sale!

  • Herricks Herbs & Heirlooms Organic Nursery 81 Herricks Lane Riverhead, NY, 11901 United States (map)

It’s time to plan our 2020 gardens! Online ordering for spring seedlings and compost is now open. To encourage online ordering, we offer our best prices on our beyond-organically grown seedlings during the pre-order period. In addition, get your order in during the month of February and receive an extra $10 discount off orders totaling $99 or more—use code “EARLYBIRD2020” at checkout. We have many new varieties and plants for 2020, including a very special Wildlife Garden Collection. If you are a school garden, community garden, or not-for-profit, you could receive the Wildlife Garden Collection free, courtesy of a generous grant donated by the Hippy Hive Honey Bee Co-op.

Order now for pick-up during the sale in May:
Friday, May 15th, 2020, 9am-6pm
Saturday, May 16th, 2020, 9am-5pm
Sunday, May 17th, 2020, 9am-5pm

We prefer our gardeners order ahead because it allows us to grow-to-order and streamlines our work in the greenhouse.  The seedling sale is a busy weekend for everyone. Pre-ordering helps us have your plants organized, paid for, and ready for pick up in the most timely fashion.   We grow the highest quality, certified organic plants and stand behind all of our farm products.  With our no risk pre-order guarantee, you can order online confidently knowing that you 1) are getting the best selection of plants and varieties, 2) are helping us plan ahead, and 3) can get a refund if any of the seedlings do not meet your expectations when you pick them up in May.  Happy gardening!

WHY COME TO OUR FARM?

Most of our seedlings are open-pollinated or heirloom varieties, varieties you won’t find elsewhere.  All varieties are chosen with the home gardener in mind.  We have either experienced success with them in our own raised bed kitchen garden, or have chosen them to trial based on description and reviews.  Everything is grown in organic starter mix, amended with our own compost, worm castings (aka vermicompost, adds beneficial microbes, producing healthier, bigger seedlings with resistance to disease--without chemicals), and mycorrhizal inoculant.  All seeds are non-GMO.  All seedlings are started by us on our certified organic farm (certified through NOFA-NY LLC). *We have some fun, hard to find medicinal herbs for your home apothecary.*  Please inquire about our composted horse manure and worm castings—both available for sale in bags or bulk.  Tomatoes are in 4” peat pots, everything else is in 3” or 4” peat pots or plastic 4-packs.
